Sankofa is led by Roger Naidoo, a passionate, world-renowned chef and entrepreneur. The company was first established in 1999 and has a rich history of culinary cuisine and experiences. Sankofa is recognized as Level 1 (135% B-BBEE). Having specialised in corporate and private catering at a highly successful level, the company is now extending their expertise to another dimension. During this Covid 19 pandemic, the need of bringing fresh, delicious meals, safely packaged, and delivered with convenience to your door, has become imperative.

Sankofa’s culture prides itself on “Exceeding Expectations”. Thus, the company has a phenomenal team of many specialized chefs, waiters and assistants to ensure that the freshest, most delectable cuisine is prepared to satisfy any taste buds, whilst exceeding any expectations. The company also offers start to finish event management.

Sankofa specialises in innovative daily meals delivered to your doorstep, which can be enjoyed in the comfort of your home. Furthermore, due to the many requests from our clients, we also have prepacked meals on our menu which makes life easier and flexible within our very busy lifestyles, tailored for both the work and home environment. Our diverse prepacked range can also be delivered to your door, which includes frozen pies, samoosas, spices, braai packs, vegetable packs & many more.

THE TEAM

Roger Naidoo has 39 years’ experience as a chef, with superb culinary skills. After accomplishing both the titles of SA Navy and SANDF Chef of the year (1997) Roger went on to greater accolades. He then led the SANDF’s 1st Culinary Olympic Team in the International Culinary Olympics (Kochkunst – Ausstellung IKA) in the year 2000 which was held in Germany. Our world renowned chef achieved a gold and bronze medal for South Africa. He then turned into a highly successful entrepreneur. Sankofa has a phenomenal team of many highly trained and specialized chefs, waiters and assistants to ensure that the most exotic, unique and authentic food is made. The committed and loyal team go beyond the line of duty to depict their love and commitment to our customers. Most of the team have been with the Sankofa family for over 10 years or more. Sankofa realizes that the heart of their success lies in their fabulous committed staff.
